33. No person may manufacture, sell, distribute or install a fire extinguisher operating with halon.
As of 16 June 2020, no person may install a fire extinguisher operating with HFC-23 or a PFC.

33. No person may manufacture, sell, distribute or install a fire extinguisher operating with halon.
A person or municipality that has a right to use, keep or own an airplane, ship, helicopter, military vehicle or property that is classified as heritage property under the Cultural Heritage Act (chapter P-9.002) or that is an immovable referred to in the National Museums Act (chapter M-44) or in the Museums Act (S.C. 1990, c. 3) is excluded from the application of the first paragraph with respect to the sale, distribution or installation of a portable fire extinguisher manufactured before 23 December 2004.
